Sarfraz Ahmed Urges International Teams To Visit Pakistan


“If international teams can play in England despite all the issues they should also come to Pakistan to play cricket”- captain Sarfraz Ahmed.

At a gathering held at Karachi Press Club in the honor of Sarfraz Ahmed on Thursday, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed urged international teams to visit & play in Pakistan. Sarfraz Ahmed has been recently appointed as the test captain of Pakistan cricket team, he further quoted:

“It would be difficult to replace Misbah and Younis”

But he is hopeful that batsmen like Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, and Asad Shafiq will prove beneficial to the team.He further mentioned:

“Test captaincy is a challenge but things will get easier with time”

Sarfraz Ahmed also expressed gratitude toward Azam Khan for his services for cricket in Karachi. He also mentioned:

“Pakistan cricket has lost a lot owing to an absence of international cricket, and it is time for international teams to recognize us,” he said.

“We have not played cricket at home for the past nine years. Despite home-like conditions in UAE, playing at home is a different experience.”

Sarfraz Ahmed Hopes High for Pakistan

Sarfraz Ahmed believes that the team has a combination of junior & senior players. He also shared his opinion that senior players cannot be pushed out of the team due to well-performance of the juniors. The experience of the senior players helps pull the team out of pressure. For success, senior and junior players must interact in harmony.

Sarfraz Ahmed believes that the future of cricket in Pakistan is vivid & bright, more clear after Pakistan’s tremendous Champions Trophy victory. By defeating the top ranked teams in the world, Pakistan has definitely made a name of its own and with the arrival of “Ronaldhino and Friends” in Pakistan, captain Sarfraz Ahmed is hopeful for the arrival of International cricket in Pakistan too.
