Sarfaraz and Amir took Pakistan to semifinals in Champion’s Trophy 2017  due to their exceptional and victorious performances in the match against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan gained a 3 wickets’ victory over Sri Lanka in the virtual quarter final match played in Cardiff on Monday. Pakistani team had to chase 237 runs to win but the task seemed a difficult one when we lost our seven wickets on the total of 162 in 30th over of the match. But the task was made successful and Sarfaraz and Amir took Pakistan to semifinals in Champions Trophy.  Pacer M. Amir had a wonderful day with the ball earlier and then he also showed his skills while batting on the crease in partnership with the captain. This was the eighth wicket partnership and both the players collectively played an amazing inning of 75 runs. It wouldn’t be incorrect to say that both Sarfaraz and Amir took Pakistan to semifinals under extreme pressure and Pakistan won in 45th over.

Overall, The Match Was A Crucial and Unpredictable One

The match had some amazing turns and overall both teams played well. Sarfaraz Ahmed was awarded a man of the match award for his exceptional 61 runs on 79 balls and his innings included 5 boundaries. M. Amir finished with a 28 not out score. As far as bowling is concerned, Pakistani bowlers Junaid Khan and Hassan Ali were the most economical ones and both together got 3 wickets. On the other hand, Amir and debutant Faheem got 2 wickets each.

From the opponent’s team, Dickwella performed well with a bat while Nuwan was good with the ball. Everyone in Pakistan is happy and now the team will play against England in the semifinal.
