Ronaldinho Along With Friends Lands in Pakistan


The Pakistani nation has waited for a long time for any international sport’s person to visit the country and after a lot of waiting, superstar footballer Ronaldinho along with his other friend footballer landed in Pakistan on Saturday.

Captains Brazil legend Ronaldinho came along with the Manchester United Stalwart Ryan Giggs, and also with a superstar cast of Brazilian Roberto Carlos, previous England goalkeeper David James, Dutch star George Boateng, former French players Robert Pires and Nicolas Anelka, and Portuguese player Luis Boa Morte are set to play exhibition matches in Karachi and Lahore. The players were brought to Pakistan in a private jet and one big name was missing that is Brazilian legend, Roberto Carlos. Yet, it is assured to the media that the legend Roberto Carlos will be playing the matches and that he will soon be here. The tour of Ronaldinho and friends has been arranged by a UK-based company Leisure Leagues and they came to Pakistan for the first time.

Ronaldinho’s Visit Expected to Revive Sports in Country

COAS General Qamar Bajwa has himself supervised the visit in an attempt to revive the sports in the country. The visit of international players is an event that occurs once in a blue moon in the country particularly after the attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore. Legendary Ronaldinho has won the World Player of the Year twice and he was also a part of the 2002 World Cup winning team. He said that he is on a goodwill mission aimed at inducing youngsters to play the game. The Pakistani Army has taken the responsibility of providing the security for Ronaldinho and his comrades and matches as well.
