During the 1980s, Pakistan Television or PTV produced a number of remarkable dramas that have remained unforgettable to this day. The biggest reason why these dramas gained so much popularity was because of the stellar performances given by the actors and actresses of that time. Among the popular actors of the eighties who won the audiences' hearts was well known actor Agha Sikandar.
Agha Sikandar has been best known for his character Farrukh that he played in one of the most popular drama serials produced by PTV, Waris. The drama can be regarded as Agha Sikandar's claim to fame. Another drama in which he showed his acting potential was 'Cinderella Aur Sakina', based on Ashfaq Ahmad's series of stories.
Although Agha Sikandar gained much popularity for his close to life portrayal of the characters he was given to play, his acting career was cut short due to his sudden demise when he was still in his forties. His legacy was carried on by his sons Ali Sikandar and Agha Ali, both of whom have entered into acting and are working in some of the most popular dramas of present time.
