With a large number of regional languages being spoken in Pakistan, there are countless artists on TV and film who have made it into show business on the basis of their command of regional languages. Right from the days when Pakistan Television (PTV) reigned supreme, regional languages have been promoted to a larger extent and the artists introduced through regional language dramas get spotted by producers from mainstream TV channels.
