Many directors in Pakistan have managed to achieve success. However, none of them have managed to get the 'easy' way, and all of them had to work tremendously hard in order to achieve their aim. The quest for making good drama serials can only be achieved if the drama is directed by an able person, as it is the job of the director to oversee proceedings and make sure that the drama serial turns out to be a good one. There have been many directors along the line who have managed to churn out hit after hit of drama serials. However, the trend in the storyline of drama serials has quickly evolved with the thinking of the society, requiring a rapid change in the mindset of the director to ensure a successful drama serial. One of the directors to have managed to grasp audiences with his work is Haissam Hussain.
Starting off as a relative unknown as he had no ties with anyone in the industry, Haissam quickly gained fame with his drama serial Dastaan. Aired on HUM TV, Dastaan was a major hit for all Pakistani audiences. He then directed a teleplay specially for Eid, entitled Patli Gali which was also aired on HUM TV. He also directed a telefilm, which was named Love Unlimited. The telefilm included some of the most famous actors in Pakistan and was produced by Momina Duraid. Apart from that, Haissam's most recent drama serial is currently being aired on TV, and is entitled Akbari Asghari. It has been very well received, and has established Haissam as one of the most prominent directors at present. Haissam also directed the teleplay, Mutthi Bhar Mitthi as well as the teledrama Tum Say Kaisay Kahoon. Both of these were aired on HUM TV.
