Although he entered politics later on, putting his career and claim to fame as a playwright and writer on hold, Taj Haider might have written only a handful of dramas but they all were thoroughly appreciated for their unique style and depiction of human emotions and lives. Belonging to a very learned family, he recently made the news after getting married for the fourth time. His fourth wife is the television anchor Naheed Wasi who is said to be at least 30 years his junior.
Personal life apart, Taj Haider contributed to the Pakistani entertainment industry through his creative writing skills that brought forward stories based on realistic feelings and human interrelationships. One of his most famous dramas was 'Jinhain Raste Main Khabar Hui', which not only earned him the title of best playwright in the PTV Awards ceremony 2006, but also earned lead actor Firdous Jamal the best actor award.
Another drama of his 'Lab-e-Darya' was aired on PTV in the year 2004 and was directed by seasoned director Ali Rizvi. The drama received appreciation and popularity for its depiction of a typical household in the urban areas and the manifold challenges faced by it.
