During the 1990s, Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) starting raising its voice against the Indian occupation of Kashmir through its dramas. The dramas were shot in the valleys of Pakistan controlled side of Kashmir and portrayed how the Kashmiris were being deprived of their basic human rights.
In this regard, drama producer and writer, Rauf Khalid had a major role to play as he came up with stories in the backdrop of the crimes against humanity in the occupied Kashmir. His dramas 'Laag' and 'Angar Vadi' were portrayals of the Kashmiri sentiments and featured some actors who helped the cause through their true to life acting skills.
One such actor was Faridullah, who was given roles in both the dramas by Rauf Khalid and did complete justice to them. Faridullah is an Islamabad based actor who has not made too many appearances on mainstream television. However, whatever performances he has given on television got him due recognition for his strong acting skills.
