In the history of television in Pakistan, a large number of talented individuals have done their part in improving the quality of programming that is being shown to the TV audiences. Whether it was during the time when Pakistan Television (PTV) enjoyed a monopoly or today's era when the TV viewers have the option to switch to the entertainment channels they prefer.
During the time of PTV's supremacy, the quality of production may not have been extraordinary. However, the scripts and the direction of these dramas was undoubtedly impeccable. One drama from that era was 'Lahore Junction', which was written by Imran Ali Safi. The drama is remembered to this day for its strong script and dialogues. The drama serial was directed by Abdul Samad and produced by Ahmad Talha Khan.
Imran has not been actively writing dramas since then, even with the immense appreciation he received for his script in 'Lahore Junction'.
