There was a time several decades ago when the film industry of Pakistan was at its peak and during that time, the film audiences got to see cinematic masterpieces produced by people who were completely dedicated to their profession and field. Anis Dosani has also been one of those people who dedicated themselves to bring out good quality films to the film lovers in Pakistan.
One of his earliest and most famous movies as a film producer was 'Chand Aur Chandni' (1968), which starred Nadeem and Shabana in the main leads. Following the success of this movie, he produced 'Pehchaan' (1975), which starred Shabnam, Qavi Khan and Munawwar Saeed. In the year 1980, he produced two movies, both of which were received very well at the box office, namely 'Hum Dono' and 'Rishta'. In fact, 'Hum Dono' was the second highest grossing movie of the year after 'Aina'.
Witnessing the decline of film industry, Anis Dosani along with many of his contemporaries migrated to television and started investing in the small screen. One of his dramas 'Maamta' (PTV) during the 1990s gained a lot of popularity among the viewers.
