Javeria Abbasi and her ex-husband Shamoon Abbasi shot to fame after participating in the acting challenge by the name of 'Take 2' in the early 1990s. The couple were adjudged the winners of the finale and later on, made their careers on screen.
Javeria's acting career saw her performing in a number of hit drama serials in recent times including 'Dil Diya Dehleez' (Hum TV), 'Najia' (Hum TV), 'Maamta' (PTV), 'Chahatain' (PTV), 'Doraha' (Hum TV), 'Mann Ka Bhanwer' (ATV), 'Chaar Chaand' (Geo TV), 'Chand Pe Dastak' (Hum TV), 'Dil-e-Abad' (Hum TV), 'Beena' (ATV), 'Sotayli' (ARY Digital) and 'Wardi' among many more.
Although she had a tough time in her personal life first with her near-fatal car accident and later with her divorce from Shamoon, Javeria never let her setbacks reflect on her performances. For her remarkable performance in 'Najia' as the titles role, she was given the best actress award at the Lux Style Awards. There is also news that she is working in a film called 'Saltanat' due to be released in 2011.
