In the early 1990s, two sisters Seema Rizvi and Tasmina Shaikh made their presence felt on the small screen with their foreign accents and tremendous acting performances. Among them, the younger sister, Tasmina, was noted for her performance in the family comedy drama 'Family '93', in which she starred alongside a number of senior artists such as Moin Akhtar and Ishrat Hashmi.
Taking a break for few years, Tasmina came back with a bang collaborating with her husband for the co-production of the immensely popular drama serial 'Des Pardes'. Not only did the duo produce the drama, they also played the main lead roles in it, depicting the typical life of the Pakistanis settled in Scotland.
By profession, Tasmina is a practicing lawyer in Scotland. However, partnering with her husband she has produced a number of quality dramas and acting in them as well including 'Aansoo', 'Thori Khushi, Thora Gham', 'The Castle: Ek Umeed', 'Khaali Aankhain', 'Naseeb', 'Maa' and 'Khandaan'.
