Zahoor Ahmed is counted among the most senior and versatile actors that have been produced by Pakistani television. One of the earliest drama serials in which he acted was the classic drama serial 'Mirza Ghalib Bunder Road Per', which was aired on Pakistan Television (PTV) during the early days of television in Pakistan. This is why the drama is black and white.
Another drama of his from the same era was 'Shama', which was based on A.R. Khatoon's novel by the same name. Few years later, he worked in the groundbreaking drama serial 'Khuda Ki Basti', which went on to become a huge hit among the TV viewers to such an extent that the drama was remade during the early 1990s.
During the early 1990s, he also worked in the super hit drama serial 'Jangloos', which was another legendary drama serial produced by PTV. Few years later, he entertained the viewers in the comedy drama serial 'Naukar Ke Agay Chakar', which was aired on the former channel STN. His most recent drama serial has been 'Des Pardes' in which he played the role of Zulfikar Sheikh's grandfather.
