Ever since the dramas on Pakistani channels have undergone a phase of rebirth, the producers are now basing their emphasis on good scripts and strong plots. This is why most of them are now opting to adapt from stories written by different novelists. One such novelist is Riffat Siraj whose novels have been chosen by different producers for a number of drama serials.
Among the most popular dramas made out of her novels has been 'Dil Diya Dehleez', based on Riffat's novel by the same name. The drama was aired on Hum TV and received immense appreciation for the realistic portrayal of emotions. Her other novels 'Buri Aurat' and 'Tair-e-Lahooti' were made into dramas of the same name and were aired on Geo TV and Hum TV respectively.
In recent times, her novel 'Ruswa' was adapted to television screenplay for the drama of same name. The drama depicts a true to life story of a young Hindu girl from East Pakistan who faces different dilemmas throughout her life.
