In recent years, the Pakistani media has seen a number of new entrants who have made their mark on television and have been a good addition to the existing talent pool. Azfar Rehman is also among the relatively newer crop on the small screen. Also knows as Mohammed Azfar, this talented young man started his career as a model. Being easy on the eyes with a pleasant aura, he soon landed major modeling projects with brands like HSY, Amir Adnan and Deepak Perwani.
He became a familiar face for the audiences when he started to appear in television advertisements and billboards. Soon Azfar was seen as an integral part of a number of television shows. Among his earliest shows was 'Spotlight With Azfar Rehman', in which he used to interview well-known showbiz personalities. Alongside, Azfar accepted a number of offers for dramas and became a success among the audience with his fine performances.
From there on, Azfar acted in a number of plays, most of which went on to become immensely popular. These include 'Baityaan', 'Noor Pur Ki Raani', 'Thori Duur Saath Chalo', 'Kaisa Yeh Junoon', 'Chalte Chalte', 'Rang Barangi', 'Kisi Ko Maan Liya Apna', 'Shehr-e-Dil Ke Darwazey', 'Dil-e-Abad', 'Yaad To Aayen Gey', 'Omer, Dadi Aur Ghar Walay', 'Saans', 'Roza Ke Rozay' and 'Tikone'. One of his most recent appearances has been in the Geo Entertainment drama 'Ladies' Park' alongside big names such as Asif Raza Mir, Mahnoor Baloch, Nadia Hussain and Humayun Saeed.
Azfar has also acted in several telefilms that include 'Dus Din Saas In', 'Mama I Love You', 'Meri Sapnon Ki Raani', 'Ae Bhai Zara Dekh Ke', 'Mili Ali Ko Mili', 'Hathon Ki Lakiron Main' and 'Lachaar'. During Ramadan 2010, he also acted in a short play called 'Chand Pay Dastak', which used to be aired everyday and had developed a good fan following.
