Among the up and coming directors who have brought a fresh as well as a much needed change to Pakistan's entertainment media, Farooq Rind's name is especially worthy of mention. His short films include 'Kaan Ras' (2005), 'Chaand Aein Mani' (2006) and 'Insanon Jaise Log' (2007. For the short film 'Chaand Aein Mani', Farooq won the best film award at the Kara Film Festival. This was a huge achievement for Farooq, who started his career as an editor.
In the meanwhile, he also took up television projects, most of which were liked by the audience. Popular drama serials directed by him include 'Saraab' (ARY Digital), 'Qurbat' (ARY Digital) and tele films 'Saans Le Aey Zindagi' and 'Nao Main Darya', both airing on Hum TV.
