With an influx of entertainment channels in the recent years, the scope and demand for dramas with a strong script and good story lines has been on the rise. That is why, many drama production companies are now choosing to adapt novels of renowned novel writers as the screenplay for their dramas, adding depth to the script as well as the story being portrayed.
One novel writer whose literary work has been converted to screenplay for a number of dramas in the recent years is Qaisra Hayat. While her primary claim to fame is writing novels, Qaisra came to be recognized by an even wider audience after her novels were picked by producers.
Drama serials 'Sarab' and 'Pul-e-Siraat', both airing on ARY Digital, were based on Qaisra Hayat's novels by the same name. 'Pul-e-Siraat', in particular, was very well received by the audiences for its true to life characterization.
