The entertainment industry in Pakistan has undergone a major overhaul, especially as far as television is concerned. While one reason behind the transformation is the liberty the entertainment media enjoys now, the other reason has been the induction of numerous newcomers in the field of drama production and direction that has changed the face of television dramas to a greater extent than what they used to be like during the days when Pakistan Television (PTV) was the only channel available for TV viewers.
In the past few years, some individuals have shown remarkable skill behind the camera. Ahsan Zaidi is also one of those new entrants in the industry who chose to pick direction as his field of interest rather than the potentially more glamorous and attractive stardom one can achieve on screen. Having directed dramas like 'Kahan Se Kahan Tak', 'Yaad Ayen Gey' and 'Chahatain' for PTV, Ahsan made a move to the private channels.
His most famous drama to date has been 'Shahzadi', aired on ARY Digital. Apart from that, he directed the drama Madhosh, which was screened on TV One in the year 2010. Both of these dramas earned a lot of appreciation from the audiences and established Ahsan's name as a director with a keen eye for detail.
