A drama would remain lifeless if a writer does not know how to make the characters come to life. It is indeed a matter of great pride for Pakistan that it has produced such remarkable drama scriptwriters whose work is appreciated even if watched decades later. Manzar Imam also belongs to the category of writers who have always come up with dramas that have kept the viewers glued to their TV screens.
Manzar Imam's strength has always been humor writing. He displayed his funny bone in a number of dramas aired on Pakistan Television (PTV). Among these comedy dramas were drama serial 'Hanstey Bastey' and long play 'Eid Train'. In fact, 'Eid Train' was so novel in its concept and dialogs that it is remembered even to this day.
Having impressed the audiences with his skills as a humorous scriptwriter, Manzar also wrote dramas with a serious spin to them. These include the drama serial 'Tanha Tanha', which aired from PTV. He has also written for private channels with the telefilm 'Barzakh' that aired on Geo TV.
