Mohsin Mirza is one of those people who has tried everything when it comes to directing TV dramas and other programs. One of his earliest ventures as a screenplay writer and director was the spoof telefilm 'Billu Barber 2', based on the Bollywood movie 'Billu Barber'. The telefilm starred renowned comedian Sikandar Sanam in the lead role and was appreciated by the fans of slapstick humor.

He later on directed the ARY Digital drama serial 'Roza Ke Rozay', depicting the dilemma a foreign-based girl faces when she comes to settle in Pakistan. Most recently he has been busy in the direction of drama serial 'Tootay Huay Par', which started airing from Geo TV in April 2011. The drama serial has been produced by Asif Raza Mir and Babar Javed.

He has also been involved in the direction of several long plays which were based on different events. In 2007, he directed a special play for Eid titled 'Baabo Bhai Ka Bayl'. For the Eid that fell in the year 2008, he made a sequel of the same drama called 'Phir Baabo Bhai Ka Bayl'. Moreover he directed 'Billo Ka Ticket Kat Gaya' for Valentine's Day and 'Billo Ki Eid Ho Gayi' for Eid.
