Much like television in Pakistan, the country's film industry has also produced countless talented artists who have given years of entertainment to the film lovers. However with the decline of cinema in Pakistan, many of these film artists made a move towards television, which has always remained a thriving medium in Pakistan.
Naghma Begum has also been such an actress who contributed a great deal towards the cinema. One of her most popular movies has been 'Love In Nepal', in which she acted alongside senior actors like Shabnam, Deeba Begum and late Izhar Qazi. One of her recent movies has been 'Sohagan', in which her costars include Shan, Babar Ali and Irfan Khoosat.
After making her transition to television, Naghma Begum had no difficulty in feeling at home with the medium. One of her oldest TV drama serials was 'Malangi', which aired from Pakistan Television (PTV). Later on, she acted in a number of other plays such as 'Aankh Salamat, Andhey Log' and 'Pal Bhar Main', both of whom aired on ATV.
