Although his name is often confused with Farooq Qaiser of the Uncle Sargam fame, one look at Qaiser Farooq's credentials can impress any person who is familiar with the dramas shown on Pakistani television over the years. Selective in the kind of work he did, Qaiser chose quality over quantity and produced work that is remembered even decades later.

Anyone who has seen the comedy drama serial 'Aangan Terha' ccan vouch for Qaiser's immaculate directorial skills, which brought out the whole essence of the script penned by Anwar Maqsood. The drama became an example for the comedy dramas to come in later years with any drama still to match the legacy of 'Aangan Terha'.

Another one of his directorial ventures was the Pakistan Air Force drama 'Shahpar', starring Faisal Rehman, which portrayed the lives of three PAF pilots. Qaiser also showed his skills as a playwright in the immensely popular drama serial of the early nineties, 'Guest House', creating characters like Jaan Rambo and Murad that are remembered even to this day.

In recent years, Qaiser has contributed as a playwright to a comedy drama serial on Geo TV by the name of 'Subah Ho Gayi Mamoo'.
