There would hardly be anyone in Pakistan who has not heard of Humayun Saeed. Showcasing his versatility by taking up numerous modeling, production, direction and acting jobs, Humayun is one of the most loved and appreciated celebrities in Pakistan. With his good looks and powerful acting, Humayun has indeed become a style icon and heartthrob for the public.
Born on July 27, 1971 in Karachi, Humayun's first play on television was 'Yeh Jahan' which was aired in the year 1996. In the same year, he worked in the long play 'Ab Tum Ja Saktey Ho' alongside Khalida Riyasat and won the best actor for it. His role in the tele film 'Zeher' also earned him a Best Actor award and so this talented actor started off a creative journey that was filled with more such laurels.
His first drama serial was 'Karoron Ka Aadmi', which took Humayun to a new level of fame. In the same era, he did the much appreciated drama serial 'Yeh Zindagi', playing Mahnoor Baloch's first husband. Audiences loved him and he got better with every performance. In 1999, Humayun got an offer from Samina Peerzada to play the villainous role of an obsessed lover in her upcoming movie 'Inteha'. The film became a super hit and Humayun became a film icon as well.
However, his next film venture 'No Paisa, No Problem' failed miserably. His third film 'Khulay Aasman Ke Neechay', directed by Javed Sheikh, did moderate business. At present, Humayun has two film projects, 'Gidh' and 'Victim' lined up for release soon.
He has also ventured into production, first coming up with his own production company Humayun Saeed Productions and then collaborating with Abdullah Kadwani to form Humayun Saeed-Abdullah Kadwani Productions. 'Ana', the first drama serial produced under the collaboration went on to earn a Lux Style Award.
