Being an actor and director himself, he has proven his mettle time and again. As a director, his work has been more issue oriented, while acting has given him a chance to explore his own creativity endlessly.
One of his most celebrated performances came in the Pakistan Television (PTV) drama serial 'Phir Youn Love Hua' in which he played the role of Amman Mamun. Around the same time, he also directed the drama serial 'Faisla' (Indus Vision), which was directed by his wife's NGO Tehreek-i-Niswan. After the introduction of private channels in Pakistan, he worked in a number of ventures airing on these channels and received appreciation for them.
His famous projects as an actor on private channels include drama serials 'Chand Pe Dastak' (Hum TV), 'Amar Bail' (TV One), 'Nindya Kyun Jalti Jaye' (TV One) and 'Uraan' (Geo TV) as well as telefilms 'Ae Bhai Zara Dekh Ke', 'Climax', and 'Aik Aur Aurat', all of whom aired on Hum TV. He also worked in the long play 'Koun', which aired from TV One, while he also has the drama 'Dil-e-Nadan' (Geo TV) to his credit as a producer.
