When it comes to drama direction and writing, there have been many people in the history of Pakistani television who have proven their mettle in both the fields simultaneously. For many of these individuals, the appreciation that they receive from the viewers underlines the skills they possess in both fields and their success in multitasking.
One such individual is Aftab Akbar who has successfully shown his skills both as a playwright and director. Aftab's love for TV direction and play writing spans around two decade during which he has given a number of quality plays to TV audiences. Starting his professional career from Pakistan Television (PTV), he directed a number of plays for the channel.
There a number of dramas to his credit including 'Kaghaz Ke Phool' (writer), 'Doosra Aadmi' (writer and director), 'Woh Ishq' (writer and director), 'Mr. Jamshed D.P.' (writer), 'Zid' (writer and director) and 'Angels' (writer and director) among many others. He also been involved in writing and directing a number of telefilms such as 'Kaun', 'Chaha Tha Jisay' and 'Baraa Ghantay'.
