Over the years, Pakistani television dramas have reached a new height thanks to the introduction of some of the most talented individuals who have been contributing in their own way towards the betterment of this thriving industry. As always, any drama production cannot materialize without the support of a powerful script. This is why drama writers have an important role to play in coming up with a drama that has success written all over it.
In the recent past, a number of writers have shown remarkable potential in drama writing. Among these, Azra Baber has been a very prominent name whose scripts were chosen by renowned producers and directors to work on. Her earliest work was seen in the drama serial 'Dhoop Main Sawan', directed by Mehreen Jabbar. The privately produced drama serial was aired on Pakistan Television (PTV).
She then wrote the famous drama serial 'Zaibunnisa', which was based on women issues. The drama was a PTV production and was directed by seasoned director Sahira Kazmi. In recent years, she has written the drama 'Pehchaan', also directed by Mehreen Jabbar, which aired on Hum TV.
