Salma Agha is a very popular Pakistani singer who has also sung for Indian films in the 1980s as well as the early 1970's. She is also the winner of the Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Award in 1982, for the ghazal Dil Ke Armaan, featured in the movie Nikaah.
She started singing ABBA hits, after which her voice was soon recognized and she was signed up for playback singing. Salma had a torrid personal life, as she has married twice, first at the tender age of 16, and then to Javed Sheikh, when she was divorced again. Now she's married to Rehmat Khan, a squash coach. Salma has enjoyed a distinct career full of success, and by many, she is regarded as one of the best singers that the Pakistani media industry has ever produced, besides Noor Jehan. Salma Agha also said that she never let her personal life mix with her professional dealings.
