Aurangzaib Laghari is a Pakistani film and TV actor. Having started his career in the 1990's mainly as a film actor, Aurangzaib enjoyed limited success in 1992 and 1995, namely with movies Mischief and Dharkan. Since the Lollywood industry had completely crashed by that time, Aurangzaib started acting in drama serials. Akbar acted in Waris, a drama serial that aired on PTV. It included a cast of Firdous Jamal, Tahira Naqvi, Jamil Fakhri and Samina Ahmed.
He also acted in Shehar-e-Murad, a hit drama serial that included a cast of Saleem Shaikh, Kashif Mehmood, Fareeha Jabeen, Naeem Kashmiri and Waseem Zafar. Aurangzaib also acted in the Punjabi drama serial Iqrar Karna Mushkil Hai. His performane in Aey Ishq Humei Barbad Na Kar as Malik Jahandad was also very famous. Aurangzaib also acted in the classical PTV drama Andhera Ujala and Piya Gaye Pardes. He was voted as the TVONE Best Actor in 2009.
