Pakistani cricket has suffered a lot from absence of international cricket from the country during the past decade. You don’t see kids playing in the streets with the passion of 1990s and cricket is rarely a topic of choice at tea hotels. But Pakistan Super League (PSL) has changed the situation altogether and brought back the passion of 1990s. Kids have come out on the streets again and everyone is talking about cricket.

Among other factors, the way showbiz stars have taken the challenge to make PSL a success has played a major role in reviving the cricket spirit in the country.

Numerous celebrities have showed their support for PSL including Ali Zafar, Ayesha Omar, Adnan Siddique, Javed Sheikh, Humaima Malick, Faakhir, Fawad Khan and Ali Azmat. They didn’t just attend the matches but became part of the cricket spirit by creating a lot of buzz on social media. Many of these stars posted their selfies with their favorite crickets and did Dubsmash videos supporting their teams.
