Ahmed Shahzad has been moved to grade C from grade D making a place for a lot more young, talented players waiting for their turn in International Cricket. While Wahab Riaz has also placed among the lucky 35 selected players by PCB.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has chosen these 35 players for the new contract of 2017-18 for central contract despite their poor performance recently. Though the press release indicates the fact that these players have been thoroughly and intensively inspected both physically and performance wise before the selection. This should be proof enough for the impartial and honest procedure of PCB. A 10% increment has been given to the monthly retainers of players.

“A number of young players have been awarded central contracts this year keeping in mind that the national teams in all formats will be going through a transitionary period after a number of retirements from last year’s central contract list,” a press release from the PCB said.
