Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has the right to seek re-election on October 6 in military uniform, the Supreme Court decided Friday. The Supreme Court dismissed the remaining petitions challenging the general's eligibility to run for office while holding dual roles and Musharraf won an important legal battle with opposition members.Main opposition blocs and non-political groups filed ten petitions, attempting to block Musharraf's path to another five-year term arguing that the constitution does not allow an army commander to seek election as president. But six members of the court's panel rejected the petitions and only three considered that the contestations have a solid legal ground.
