At least nine people, including a Pakistani soldier, a television cameraman, and innocent passers-by were killed during violent clashes with radical students at a mosque in Islamabad. Police used teargas at the Lal Masjid Mosque, as hundreds of women screamed anti-government slogans. Armed students paraded their weapons.
