Thyroid Surgery under local anesthesia.
I did this surgery few months back at my welfare hospital, (medicalcare.8m.com)
The patient was resident of a remote area of Pakistan, was unable to get his surgery done because of multiple risk factors, he had a huge thyroid causing respiratory difficulty.
The Thyroid was in such a bad shape that it was not possible to pass an endotreacheal tube to him.
So I decided to operate him under local anesthesia.
It took me 3 hours to complete the operation, a team of doctors was monitoring the patient .The surgery went fine; patient was pain free during the operation.
Patient walked out of the operation theater after the surgery.

I am uploading this video especially for the interest of people related with medical.
