President Asif Ali Zardari, reacting the Islamabad hotel blast, said that today was the victorious day for democracy in Pakistan but the cowards changed happiness into sorrow.
President was addressing the nation on Television early Sunday. 'We will save Pakistan in this crucial juncture and will retaliate terrorism in the same manner', he said while adding that the security staff died mostly in the blast.
"Terrorism is a cancer in Pakistan, we are determined, God willing, we will rid the country of this cancer," Zardari said. "We will not be deterred by these cowards, Pakistanis are brave and fearless people, they are not afraid of death."
Zardari assured that the culprits will not go unpunished and the government will remember martyred souls of the blast and will take care of them.
President addressed the nation after a brazen suicide attack on the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad earlier Saturday which killed at least 60 people.
